No fun facts to guess where we are - but the name of the post came from a quote we saw on the Banff Gondola today. We loved it - both the Gondola but also the quote "the more I look, the farther I see" - lots of meaning to that one. Today was all about soaking in the amazing sights of Banff and being sure to live in the moment. We left Calgary this morning on a motor coach with a great driver / guide Jay and 34 of our new friends.
We drove for just over an hour and stopped at a cool little stop with a couple of highlights. One was learning about the local natives from Derek who was a representative of First Nations. He told us that his relatives came from the South Dakota Sioux ~300 years ago. Talking about the cold weather, he shared that Sitting Bull visited years ago but thought it was too cold so he rolled up his teepee and went back south :). The second highlight was a helicopter ride with some amazing views.
We wrapped the day back in our room at the Rimrock Resort - the views can’t be beat. We sat for hours drinking some cheap wine, listening to an awesome playlist from Craig and staring out our window trying to soak it all in.
Impossible to adequately capture with pictures or words - but really awesome. As Craig said, if you need perspective come to the mountains or go to the sea.
And, wherever life takes you, always...
Enjoy the Ride!

Yip, I'm TOTALLY enjoying my virtual vacation. Thank you! Beautiful pics, clever words, fantastic smiles. Carry on...
