Hi Friends.
Welcome to our attempt at journaling our upcoming adventure. No writers here so I apologize in advance for the stream of consciousness you will likely experience. Those of you who have experienced that in person may be wondering how it will translate to the written page - me too! Just another part of the adventure.
As many of you know, Craig and I were blessed to be in a position to both retire earlier this year. If this was a video blog (is that a vlog?!) you would now see me spontaneously raising my arms above my head. It truly has become a reflex action when I realize we are actually retired!!
To celebrate our next chapter we decided to go big. Not ‘go big OR go home’ but ‘go big AND then go home’. In this case ‘big’ means a trip around the world in 89 days. Yep a little more than Jules Verne but a little less than 90 which somehow sounds just too long :).
We embark on the journey in a couple of weeks. Our hope is to capture some of the memories, stories and laughs we will experience on this adventure so we can relive for years to come. Feel free to join us on the journey.
